Carol Bahsoun

Director. Occupational Therapist.

With over 14 years of experience as an Occupational Therapist, Carol brings both clinical expertise and visionary leadership to Sensia Allied Health. After founding The OT Clinic in 2014 and later rebranding to Sensia Allied Health in 2021, Carol has grown the clinic into a thriving, multidisciplinary team committed to making a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families.

  • Her expertise spans paediatric therapy, intensive suit therapy, and mental health, with a strong clinical interest in sensory processing, an often-overlooked area that has a profound impact on daily living, independence, and community participation.

    The Sensia value that resonates most with her is Personal Matters. Throughout her career, she has seen firsthand that building genuine rapport with clients and families is the foundation for trust, growth, and life-changing outcomes.

    Outside of work, Carol enjoys spending time with her family and a quiet getaway. She is known around the workplace for always being on the go and never says no to an old-school playlist to keep the energy flowing.

Lauren

Occupational Therapist/Clinical Lead

Lauren is passionate about helping children and their families achieve their goals, and this passion is the driving force behind her approach to therapy. She resonates with the value of "Passion Drives Purpose", as she continuously strives to expand her knowledge and find new ways to support clients in reaching their full potential.

  • As a child, Lauren dreamed of becoming an art teacher, spending hours creating, painting, and drawing. Perhaps that is why she is known as the “template guru” of Sensia, with the ability to think outside the box and personalise therapy strategies for clients.

    Outside of work Lauren stays active by chasing after her two energetic children—having swapped her gym junkie days for fun family time instead! Her Spotify playlist is known to play a classic Disney hit or nursery rhyme these days, rather than her usual RnB classics or the latest pop hits!

Renee

Occupational Therapist/Clinical Supervisor

Occupational Therapist, Renee, works closely with clients to understand their unique needs, empowering them to gain independence in daily activities. By building on strengths and fostering a positive environment, Renee aims to improve the quality of life for those she works with, ensuring therapy is tailored to each individual’s specific goals.

  • A strong advocate for “celebrating small victories”, Renee integrates this value into her practice, whether it's with clients, families, or supervising new graduate therapists. Recognising even the smallest progress fosters confidence and motivation, helping to create momentum as clients work toward their larger goals.

    Outside of work, Renee is passionate about staying active, loves a good weights session at the gym or going for a run. She is a proud pet parent to a little dog named Bear and her favourite holiday destination in Greece, where she can enjoy life’s little pleasures.

Zaynab

Occupational Therapist

Zaynab specialises in supporting children to develop their fine and visual motor skills, emotional regulation, social interaction, play, and self-care independence. With a strong clinical interest in fine motor development, she enjoys getting creative in her sessions to make therapy fun, engaging, and effective.

  • Guided by Sensia’s value Personal Matters, Zaynab believes that the foundation of meaningful therapy lies in strong, trusting relationships with both children and their families. She takes the time to truly understand each family's unique values, goals, and context, ensuring that therapy is not only clinically effective but also deeply personal and relevant to their everyday lives.

    Outside of work, Zaynab is a big sports fan and keeps active by playing soccer, tennis, and boxing. Her dream holiday destination is Dubai, where she can indulge in great food, fashion, and shopping.

Occupational Therapist

As an Occupational Therapist, Georgia works closely with children and their families to support development, build functional skills, and promote independence in everyday activities. With a strong belief in Sensia’s value Passion Drive Purpose, Georgia is driven by a passion for helping children thrive, connect, and grow.

  • She values each child’s unique strengths and story, and finds meaning in creating therapy experiences that honour their individual journeys.

    Outside of work, Georgia enjoys staying active by playing in her local netball team, going to the gym, and taking long Sunday walks. She’s known for her love of sport around the workplace and is always up for a challenge. Her go-to song is Pink Pony Club, and her favourite holiday destination is Austria. At home, she loves spending time with her dog, Charli.

Occupational Therapist/Team Lead

Rochelle is a passionate and committed Senior Clinician at Sensia, with a strong belief in the value of "Passion Drives Purpose." This gives her work meaning and direction, and has played a key role in stepping up into a leadership position within the team. Rochelle's dedication to helping others is what inspires her to continuously guide clients and colleagues toward achieving success.

  • In therapy, Rochelle takes a child-led, personalised approach, focusing on building meaningful connections with clients and their families. By understanding each child’s unique needs and goals, she is dedicated to helping them lead happy, functional lives and achieve their full potential.

Fida

Occupational Therapist

Fida works closely with children of all ages to enhance developmental skills and improve daily functioning.

Fida enjoys working with children who have sensory processing disorders, helping them develop strategies to manage sensory stimuli and respond more effectively to their environment.

    Outside of work, Fida stays active by going to the gym, hiking and playing competitive soccer. She is a strong believer that staying active helps her stay energised and mentally sharp.

Jasmine

Occupational Therapist

Jasmine (or Jas as she’s known), is a qualified therapist and an expert in paediatrics. She also has experience in Astronaut Training protocol for those kids wanting to go to the moon - kidding! Her clinical areas of interest include executive functioning, emotional regulation/mental health, parent education, and group therapy/program development.

  • Passionate about holistic care, Jas believes in understanding the interconnectedness of the body and brain, recognising that each client brings unique experiences and strengths. This perspective drives her approach to creating individualised, evidence-based intervention plans in collaboration with families.

    With over 16 years of experience in the performing arts industry, she is always looking for an excuse to include dancing and singing in sessions. When she’s not working, Jas enjoys exploring new skills including gymnastics, boxing, and calisthenics. Jas is known around the workplace for her organisational skills, love of deep conversations and fun facts!

Karina

Occupational Therapist

Karina is passionate about supporting children through a child-led, play-based approach. She has a strong clinical interest in sensory processing and enjoys exploring how children uniquely engage with their senses to stay regulated and connected to the world around them. She is also inspired by the DIR Floortime model, which guides her commitment to meeting each child where they are developmentally and emotionally.

She believes therapy should be engaging, collaborative, and always tailored to the unique needs and interests of each child.

    Outside of work, Karina loves staying active through gym sessions, outdoor adventures, and long walks with her sisters. She’s known around the workplace as someone who’s always up for a chat, whether it’s professional or just a friendly catch-up. Her go-to playlist? Musicals on full blast!

Kiera

Occupational Therapist/Clinical Supervisor

With a passion for connection and a heart for early intervention, Kiera brings a thoughtful and relationship-based approach to therapy. Her focus is on building strong, meaningful relationships as the foundation for communication and learning.

  • She has a growing interest in parent coaching and particularly enjoys supporting families at the beginning of their therapy journey. Helping parents and carers understand their child’s needs and how to best support them after a new diagnosis is something she finds incredibly rewarding.

    Kiera's approach is simple: sometimes less is more. She’s found that no toy or tool can replace the value of genuine connection when it comes to supporting a child’s development.

    Outside of work, she loves going for walks, hitting the gym, and planning her next trip to Japan. Around the office she’s known for never missing a coffee run.

Monique

Occupational Therapist

Monique is a caring and dedicated therapist with a passion for supporting children to build the skills they need to thrive in everyday life. She has a particular interest in social skills and emotional regulation, and loves helping children grow in confidence, connection, and independence.

She believes in taking a holistic, individualised approach, seeing each child and family as unique, and tailoring her support to what truly matters to them. For her, meaningful therapy starts with understanding the whole person.     Outside of work, Monique enjoys getting out into nature for a walk and unwinding with music. Growing up, she dreamed of working with horses (and still might one day!). She’s also a big fan of food, shopping, and exploring, with Japan and Korea at the top of her travel wish list.

     Around the workplace, she’s known for being one of the first to the lunchroom. Always ready for a break and a chat!

Occupational Therapist

Jeanette is a passionate Occupational Therapist who loves supporting families and communities. With a strong focus on early intervention and early childhood development, she brings a warm, relationship-based approach to her work, using child-led play to create meaningful and engaging therapy experiences.

    Outside of work, she’s always on the move. Whether it’s snorkelling, gymnastics, ultimate frisbee, or going for a run. She once dreamed of becoming a pastry chef which may explain why around the workplace, she’s best known for quick trips to the kitchen for frequent snack breaks!

Houda

Speech Pathologist

With expertise in AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) and early intervention with parent training, Houda is passionate about helping children find their voice and supporting families to feel confident in their therapy journey. Her clinical interests include AAC and feeding, where she takes a child-led, play-based, and multi-modal approach to ensure therapy is engaging and effective.

Working closely with children with developmental delays and disabilities means celebrating every milestone, big or small. For Houda, recognising these achievements with families is a powerful way to build motivation and encourage continued growth.

Speech Pathologist

Speech Pathologist

Suruthi is a Speech Pathologist who has a passion for making therapy fun and engaging. She believes that games and play are not just tools, they’re the secret to a child’s progress and their heart.

She understands that even the tiniest step forward often takes an incredible amount of effort, not just from the child, but from everyone supporting them. That’s why she’s all about recognising and cheering on every win, no matter how small.

    When she’s not in the clinic, you’ll find her staying active at the gym, going for long walks, or dancing Bharatanatyam - an Indian classical dance she’s been learning and loving.

Evelyn

Speech Pathologist

Evelyn is a Speech Pathologist with a passion for supporting children across all stages of language development. From those first babbles right through to confident, complex communication. She has a strong interest in early intervention, language delays and disorders, AAC (especially LAMP), and school-age literacy, and loves helping each child find their own voice in a way that feels natural and empowering.

By bringing creativity, optimism, and genuine care into her work, she creates a space where children feel supported, valued, and ready to make meaningful progress.

     Her therapy style is play-based, functional, and tailored to real life. She focuses on goals that fit seamlessly into each child and family’s everyday routines, because when therapy feels relevant and achievable, motivation and progress follow.

     Outside of work, Evelyn keeps active playing social sports like dodgeball, netball, and volleyball. She’s happiest anywhere with a beautiful view. Sana

Speech Pathologist

Sana is a Speech Pathologist who is passionate about supporting children in their communication and early language development. While she continues to build her skills across a range of areas, she has a strong interest in early language intervention, parent-led strategies, and is beginning to explore the world of AAC.

Speech Pathologist

Speech Pathologist

Ream is a dedicated therapist with a strong interest in early intervention and supporting children with language delay. She loves using structured, play-based learning to create engaging sessions that build skills in a way that feels natural, fun, and meaningful for each child.

  • She believes that consistent, well-supported therapy journeys are key to achieving the best outcomes and is passionate about working collaboratively with families to ensure children feel supported every step of the way.

     Outside of work, Ream enjoys winding down with a sunset walk and taking a moment to reset. She once dreamed of becoming an interior designer, which might explain her eye for detail! Around the workplace, she’s best known as the queen of organisation!

Physiotherapist

Asra’s expertise lies in paediatric physiotherapy, with a particular focus on gross motor development, early childhood milestones, and neurorehabilitation. She strives to deliver client-centred care that is not only effective, but also fun and engaging for the children she works with.

    Asra is known around the clinic for her colourful sock collection and warm, friendly approach. When she’s not supporting kids on their therapy journey, she enjoys Pilates, long walks, and spending time with her two cats, Cheeto and Barfi.

    Her favourite travel destination is New Zealand, and while she once dreamed of being an astronaut, she’s pretty happy helping little ones reach for the stars right here on Earth.

Behaviour Support Practitioner

Tina is a passionate Behaviour Support Practitioner focused on helping children develop functionally equivalent replacement behaviours to meet their needs while prioritising emotional well-being. Tina guides children through small, manageable steps to shape positive behaviours and enhance their overall development.

  • In behaviour therapy, progress is often gradual. "Celebrating Small Victories" keeps motivation high, highlights the gains made, and reinforces the collaborative efforts of both the child and therapy team throughout the process.

Corinne

Practice Manager

Corinne leads the admin team as Practice Manager at Sensia, and fosters a supportive team culture, building strong systems, and ensuring that both clients and team members feel valued every step of the way.

  • No two days are the same in her world. Corinne makes sure everything behind the scenes runs smoothly. The Sensia value that resonates most with her is Personal Matters. It’s about more than just getting the job done, it’s about ensuring every client feels genuinely seen, heard, and supported throughout their therapy journey.

    Outside of work, has travelled all over Europe, South America, Central America and South East Asia. She spends a lot of her free time away with her family in the caravan, enjoying the outdoors! Though she once dreamed of being a professional tennis player, these days she’s known around the workplace for her people-first leadership, approachable style, and never turning down a good chat.

Isobelle

Receptionist

As a key part of Sensia’s admin team, Isobelle helps create a welcoming and supportive environment from the very first point of contact. What she enjoys most is making sure that every family who walks through the door feels comfortable and cared for. Whether it’s a warm hello, a quick chat, or freshening up the reception space, she knows it’s the little things that make a big difference.

Jess

Receptionist

As one of the first friendly faces you’ll see at Sensia, Jess plays a key role in creating a welcoming and smooth experience for every family who walks through the door. No two days are the same in the admin space and Jess is at the centre of it all, ensuring everything runs with care and precision.

  • A self-described perfectionist, Jess loves bringing order to busy days, ensuring every little detail is thought through and every task is completed efficiently and effectively.

    Outside of work, Jess is a keen NRL Dragons supporter, ambidextrous (a fun hidden talent!), and has a soft spot for country music, instrumental playlists, and her black and white cat, Elliot Juan.

Erin

Receptionist

Erin is one of the friendly faces at reception, where she helps create a welcoming and supportive environment for every child and family who walks through the door. A current Occupational Therapy student, she brings a strong interest in the allied health space and takes pride in the behind-the-scenes details that keep everything running smoothly.

  • The Sensia value that resonates most with Erin is Personal Matters. Working at the front desk means she often meets families at different stages of their therapy journey, and she believes every interaction should be met with empathy, understanding, and care.

     Outside of work, she’s juggling uni, catching up with friends, and staying active with netball and beach walks (ideally followed by coffee). She’s always planning her next trip and adding to her ever-growing bucket list.

    She’s a proud Cronulla Sharks and Sydney Swifts supporter, and around the workplace, she’s known for being approachable, kind, and always willing to help.

Sam

Head of People and Operations

With a strong background in management and a lifelong passion for healthcare, Sam found her true calling in Human Resources, where she could combine her love of people with her drive to help others achieve their goals.

  • At Sensia, she plays a key role in building and supporting a thriving team. Whether it’s recruiting passionate professionals or developing workforce plans that foster growth and career progression, Sam is dedicated to creating an environment where everyone can thrive.

Marketing & Communications Manager

With over 20 years of marketing experience, most recently in the not-for-profit and disability sectors, Melissa is passionate about sharing meaningful stories and highlighting the incredible work of Sensia’s therapy team. Her role is all about connection and building community partnerships.

    When she’s not at work, you’ll find her cheering on the Cronulla Sharks or supporting her kids from the sidelines of their sports games. She shares her home with a much-loved cat, Peachey, and a guinea pig named Penny, both regularly featured in the family photo album!
