Feeding Therapy Clinic
Supporting children to eat safely, comfortably, and enjoy a wider variety of foods.
"We aim to support safe swallowing, expand food variety through play, make mealtimes enjoyable, and empower families with practical, pressure-free feeding strategies."
Feeding concerns can be overwhelming for both children and their families. Whether your child is a fussy eater, struggles with swallowing, or has a limited range of preferred foods, our Feeding Therapy Clinic is here to help.
Our team provides a family-centred approach to help children feel safe, supported, and empowered to explore new foods and develop positive mealtime experiences.

Fussy or picky eating behaviours
Swallowing difficulties, choking, or gagging during meals
Texture sensitivities or food aversions
Challenges with breastfeeding or bottle feeding
Transitioning from hospital-based feeding teams
Trouble chewing or managing different consistencies
Children on the autism spectrum with restricted food preferences
Feeding concerns related to tongue tie
Our Process
We follow a personalised yet collaborative pathway to ensure your child receives the best possible care:
Phone Consultation (45 minutes)
A one-on-one conversation with a feeding specialist to gather detailed information about your child’s feeding history, behaviours, and concerns.
Comprehensive Feeding & Swallowing Assessment (90 minutes)
A face-to-face session where we assess your child’s feeding patterns, oral motor skills, and swallowing safety. If a medical concern is identified, we can assist you in accessing further investigations (e.g., imaging or specialist referral) and guide you through the process.
Personalised Management Plan
You’ll receive a tailored and personalised plan outlining strategies, goals, and therapy recommendations.
At-Home Support
Families are provided with practical tools and homework activities to reinforce progress at home. You are supported with the option of telehealth and phone call support if required.
Feeding Therapy Sessions
Individualised sessions delivered by trained feeding therapists, with a focus on working with parents and carers to build the child's trust, explore new foods, and support oral motor development.
Regular Reviews
Progress is monitored closely, with ongoing support and adjustments to therapy as needed.
